Shanta was born in the DC area and played all the sports growing up: varsity soccer, basketball, track and field, etc, until she realized no amount of hurdles leapt could fulfill her need for creative expression.

She's played piano and guitar since she was young, and also has skills with the bass, ukelele, saxophone, and percussion.

She wrote and stars in the comedic digital series DTF, which explores female sexuality through an honest and humorous lens.
